Swedish Massage

60 minutes        £50

Swedish Massage Back & shoulders massage

30 minutes        £35

A Swedish massage can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on your requirements.

If you want deeper work and can tolerate more pressure to get relief from chronic muscle pain, it's better to book a deep tissue massage, which is another form of Swedish massage.  If you have pain, it will likely take a series of massages to get results.

With a Swedish massage, your skin will be lubricated with massage oil and a variation of massage strokes applied.

These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle "knots" or adhered tissues, called adhesions.

Swedish massage promotes relaxation, among other health benefits.

Before the massage, your therapist will ask you about any injuries or other conditions that he or she should know about.

Things you would want tell a therapist include areas of tightness or pain, allergies & pregnancy.

You can also tell us if you have a preference for light or firm pressure.

Lava Shell Massage

60 minutes              £50

30 minutes              £35

A Lava Shell Massage only uses four shells, as opposed to dozens of stone, all of which have to be sanitized after the treatment.  Also, with Lava Shell there is no need to heat up the stones in a big electric cooker filled with water.

The therapist simply inserts a sachet of minerals, dried sea kelp, and algae into a hole in the shell, adds sea-water and plugs it up again. The chemical interaction between the ingredients creates heat inside the shell that lasts one to two hours.

While a Lava Shell massage has some similarities to hot stone massage, in particular the element of heat, it also has some important differences.  It's primarily a relaxing, soothing massage, warming and soothing the muscles without a lot of pressure.

Hot chocolate massage

Hot chocolate back massage

30 minutes              £30

For an uplifting experience, producing happy mood

After years of being incorrectly blamed for causing acne, chocolate has redeemed itself as the new skin saviour at spas around the world. Chocolate's high caffeine content stimulates your circulation, allowing your blood to naturally rejuvenate and heal your skin, reports Fox News. Antioxidants also give your skin a plumper, firmer feel and help your cells builds collagen and elastin. Antioxidants work throughout your skin to prevent damage by free radicals, the culprits responsible for aging skin and loss of elasticity, says Vanderbilt University.

The natural oils found in cocoa butter are usually combined with other traditional massage oils, like safflower and olive oils, which work into your skin to give it deep moisture.  The antioxidants found in chocolate massage creams also help the skin retain moisture long after the massage is over.
